On Thursday, August 13, 2009 the Hunger Relief Organization (HeRO) and Russo and Steele will present a Silent Charity Auction in Downtown Monterey. The Cocktail Reception will feature Live Music, Cocktails, and a preview of the automobiles being offered at Russo and Steele's collector car auction. All proceeds will benefit the HeRO. We need your help!

We are currently seeking donations for our silent auction. All donated gifts, gift certificates, and services will be on display throughout the event as a part of our silent auction. If you would like to become more involved in helping feed and educate children in third world countries, and introduce your company's products/services to the most Prestigious Automobile Collectors in the World, we have several "Event Sponsor" packages available. Your donations are tax deductible, and all proceeds will go directly to HeRO.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Hunger Relief Organization (HeRO). HeRO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. HeRO's taxpayer identification number is 33-0577894. HeRO's goal is to end world hunger in our lifetime by coordinating the efforts of hunger relief agencies throughout the world. Each day, almost 30,000 men, women and children die from starvation despite the fact that the resources needed to end this ongoing tragedy currently exist, By raising global awareness, establishing accountability standards among established hunger relief agencies, and taking an active role in breaking the cycle of extreme malnutrition, HeRO seeks to maximize resources and efficiently address the needs of those affected by this crisis.

Funds raised over the past five years have allowed us to establish seven feeding centers in Central America, including a malnutrition recovery home for young babies/toddlers. As a result, HeRO is providing meals to over 1000 children every day. Thank you for joining us and making a difference in so many lives!
