The Fifth Annual Muscle Car 1000 will be held October 4th to October 9th 2009. Forty-five teams will be invited to gather at Disneyland’s Grand Californian in Anaheim, CA for the start of the event.

Day One – October 4, 2009

As the teams arrive, their cars will be displayed in front of the hotel for the public to enjoy. A cocktail reception will be held inside Disneyland at Club 33, the only private club in the Park. The opening night Gala will be held shortly thereafter and each new team will be given a pair of white Muscle Car 1000 jackets. Returning teams will receive black leather Muscle Car 1000 “varsity” jackets. The evening festivities promise to once again erupt into non-stop laughter!

Day Two – October 5, 2009

Day 2 will begin with a drivers meeting followed by a police escort through Los Angeles to the world famous Nethercutt Automotive Museum for lunch and a private tour. After a memorable experience, the teams will head up the coast to Santa Barbara and the incomparable Four Seasons Biltmore where we will enjoy a five course meal with wine pairings.

Day Three – October 6, 2009

Day 3 will open with a thrilling drive along two-lane country roads up into the local mountains. After lunch we will continue our journey to the Lake Arrowhead Resort. That evening, we will enjoy another multi-course wine maker’s dinner while enjoying the mountain air and stunning views of Lake Arrowhead.

Day Four – October 7, 2009

Day 4 will start off with a spirited hill-country drive down the mountain to Joshua Tree National Park where we will enjoy lunch and rock climbing! After lunch, we will drive to the J. W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort. After relaxing and freshening up, we will take a short boat ride across the lake and enjoy a Tepan dinner. Guests will be introduced to flying food, Saki Bombs, and a wild night of karaoke singing!

Day Five – October 8, 2009

Day 5 will open with an exciting drive through the foothills to the Pacific Coast and Camp Pendleton. Upon our arrival, the Commanding General will close the base airport, and our participants will drag race down the flight line to the delight of 10,000 marines. After the 2009 Drag Race Champion is crowned, rally participants will bid farewell to the troops and head to the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point. That evening, the participants will gather for the Fifth Annual Muscle Car 1000 awards banquet.
